Housing is central to the UK Government’s plans to grow the economy, with an increase in the mandatory targets for councils, an overhaul of the planning system, and new initiatives such as the New Homes Accelerator recently announced aiming to help unblock the delivery of delayed housing developments.
Social and affordable housing developments will form a key part of these plans, meaning significant upcoming opportunities in the pipeline for those organisations in the housing supply chain, as well as major projects and challenges for the public sector and local authorities, who are already delivering a large number of regeneration projects across the UK.
The Social Housing & Regeneration Stage at UKIS will host a series of sessions discussing how the Government plans to open up housing projects and boost regeneration activity across the country, and how the public sector intends to work with suppliers to deliver upcoming projects.
